EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCES

Consultant and Value Analyst, Including Custodial Consultant and Dairy Consultant--collect and analyze data for a variety of clients; conduct research in the relationship of ground currents and electrical pollution on production of dairy animals.

Computer and Web Page Consultant-- Assist individuals, businesses, and organizations in determining their internet web page needs and design the pages.

Real Estate Buyer's Agent-- Assist buyers to analyze and determine their real estate needs, research the market for available properties, present alternatives, help evaluate the alternatives, determine fair market value, prepare and submit applicable documents in a timely manner, coordinate execution of the various functions before closing.

Educator-- Instruct a variety of subjects to students in grades 6 through 12 as a substitute teacher. Primary subjects are Math, Science, and Computers. Have assisted with a Department of Military Affairs charter school feasibility study, tutored at risk youth, conducted a study to support a Total Quality Management (TQM) evaluation tool, and provided instruction on Quality Management (TQM) techniques to adults.

Licensed Real Estate Valuation Specialist--assisted a Licensed Appraiser research and analyze the sale prices of real estate properties to determine the value of specific homes, farms, and vacant land. 

Certified Livestock and Farm Equipment Appraiser-- Research sale prices and analyze data to determine value of agricultural related personal property. 

Director of Safety and Purchasing for a Plastics Manufacturing Company-- Collected and analyzed safety related data to determine training or policy/procedure needs, developed policies to ensure compliance, developed and conducted safety training, investigated accidents, maintained records, purchased supplies, monitored deliveries, coordinated vendors, and analyzed various supply sources for quality and price.

Analysis and Plans Officer for the Michigan Army National Guard-- Provided analysis on organizational changes and equipment fieldings, developed, documented and presented recommendations to senior management, coordinated and corresponded with various organizational levels to accomplish management's directives.

Director, Regional Training Site for Maintenance, Michigan National Guard-- Established from its inception a school to teach skilled maintenance of military equipment to soldiers, supervised fifteen senior personnel to ensure accomplishment of all school functions, ranging from administration, budget planning, staff and student development through course development and presentation to logistical functions. During its accreditation process, the school was evaluated as best of its type. Conducted educational and informational presentations to commanders and key personnel at all levels in a three state area and served as chair of national level advisory committee for two years. As school director, continually collected information and data on a variety of topics, to include: budget requirements and expenditures, training needs, and equipment requirements, availability and utilization.

Battalion Executive Officer and Full-Time Officer in Charge, Michigan National Guard-- Supervised thirty plus full time personnel, directed and coordinated all staff functions to include administration, recruitment, logistics, and training necessary to operate and support a 750-soldier battalion. This position required continual data collection and analysis on a variety of subjects.

Battalion Operations and Training Officer Michigan Army National Guard-- Supervised twenty senior personnel, provided staff supervision over maintenance battalion's technical support, tactical and training missions to include mission analysis, analysis of collective and individual training needs, and supporting resources, and ensured accomplishment of both training and other missions.

Operations Research and Systems Analysis Officer, White Sands Missile Range, NM U.S. Army Systems Analysis Agency-- Collected field data, developed computer programs, analyzed data, documented computer programs and results, participated in a study of the survivability and vulnerability of the tactical nuclear forces, and another for the survivability and reliability of the M1 Main Battle Tank.

Research and Teaching Assistant, Michigan State University-- Developed and conducted independent doctoral and masters research and analysis; assisted others with statistical analysis; developed computer simulation programs to complement and support educational programs.

AGRICULTURAL EXPERIENCES

Raised on a dairy and crop farm in central Iowa.  Active in all aspects of farm operations and 4-H.  During college years, worked at the University Dairy Farm as relief milker and animal caretaker. Currently live on a small farm, raising dairy calves and vegetables.
